The Toroku Sakai Kirameki VG10 Tsuchime & Damascus Santoku 170mm is a beautifully balanced Japanese kitchen knife designed for everyday versatility and refined cutting performance. Part of the elegant Kirameki (煌めき) series—meaning sparkle or brilliance—this santoku reflects light effortlessly across its layered Damascus pattern, enhanced by a traditional hand-hammered Tsuchime finish.
Forged with a premium VG10 stainless steel core, the blade delivers outstanding sharpness, long-lasting edge retention, and excellent corrosion resistance, making it highly practical for daily kitchen use. The Santoku profile—often known as the “three virtues” knife—is ideal for slicing, dicing, and chopping meat, fish, and vegetables with smooth, controlled precision. The blade is built around an VG10 stainless steel core, layered in 67-layer Damascus, and finished with hand-applied tsuchime hammer marks that help reduce food drag. The octagonal handle is crafted from Black Oak.
Crafted in Sakai, Japan, this knife embodies a harmony of tradition and modern performance, offering both visual elegance and reliable functionality for home cooks and professional chefs alike.
